Candy Corn Infused Vodka
partyrehab:
Ingredients & Measurements:
1 Pint of Vodka
1 Cup of Candy Corn
Honey
Instructions:
Pour Vodka into a jar or bottle big enough to give some extra space.
Add Candy Corn. Close with cap or lid.
Let sit for one week or until Candy Corn dissolves completely. (Shake jar or bottle occasionally)
Strain out solids using strainer or coffee filter.
Add honey to person taste.

Today I convinced my roommate to check out Geisha Sushi with me in the CBD. I have heard great things about this place and it didn’t disappoint. I wouldn’t necessarily describe the atmosphere here as “romantic” I would say “trendy”. There is a huge mural behind the sushi bar that displayed some beautiful cherry blossoms with its petals blowing through the wind....

The other day I went to dinner with a friend. I decided on the roast beef po-boy (as the restaurant was famous for). As I dug into what is usually my favorite po-boy I found a sadness swirling up into my chest. I was taken a-back by this at first. Results came in… the doctors said it appeared to be cancer free. Then I got a call this week that they reviewed the results again and it still said no cancer (which, she mentioned was good news), but would want to see me again in six months.
So, good news? Yes. Haha I suppose I just had already prepared myself for the worst case scenario. It’s hard to draw your brain out of that mind...

Waiting on a phone call....
So, I took the 5 hour drive from home to Houston to visit MD Anderson. We stayed the night in Houston and woke up early the next day and got to the hospital a whole hour early. I checked in, got my official MD Anderson patient card. This place is like its own city. So many volunteers, several cafes, a library. This place was HUGE and spanned several blocks, all connected by a sky bridge.
