We’re doing a wine box ceremony during the wedding ceremony and my MOH was able to snag an authentic wine box from an upscale restaurant in Charleston FOR FREE.
(A wine box ceremony is where Wes and I will each write and seal a letter to each other and place it in the wine box. The box will already hold a good bottle of wine or champagne (Hi Leah!) and 2 of our monogrammed wine glasses we were gifted at our engagement party last year. The wine box should be opened first on our 5th wedding anniversary. The hope is that there will never be a reason to have to open the box except on our anniversary. But, should that rough spot hit our relationship, we are to sit down together, open the box, uncork the wine/champagne and unseal the envelopes that we each wrote for one another before our wedding, and quietly read the love letter. The sentiments we wrote, the declaration of love, the clear thoughts about why we chose each other as life partners will help put us back on even ground.)
Now that you have the background, I was thinking of staining the wine box a darker color but am undecided. Should I just keep it as is or go ahead and stain? Looking to you DIY-ers to help me decide!

this is a beautiful idea. reblogging so in the event i actually get married one day, i will remember this.

Love this idea. <3

Recently love this song. And the image I get by this lyric.

“Marry Me, Today and every day. Marry Me…If I ever get the nerve to say, “Hello” in this cafe.”
